Raptors vs Zombies

Today I am going to the zoo with my girlfriend so this will be a really short post.  Luckily, there is another Legend of Zelda Raptors Left 4 Dead video up so that is whats next.

Have a great day!

Minecraft Food

After this last weekend's scorcher, its refreshing to be back to the lower 60s for a high.  Its days like to day that it is nice to sit in your room with the window open and just do nothing.  Recently, instead of doing nothing, I have been playing Minecraft.  I haven't been playing it the same where I try to survive and play everything legitimately, but I have spent hours building castle walls and a few buildings.  I am trying to figure out how to record what it looks for a post, but that hasn't quite happened yet.

Nevertheless, a main part of surviving minecraft is the food without it, you would die within 10-20 minutes of playing.  Luckily, as long as you have some variety of food you'll be fine.  Not sure what you can eat?  Follow this minecraft food pyramid.

Now that you've been fed in game, how do you feed yourself outside of the game?  Well you can have minecraft dirt cake, if you have the desire to make cake.

If you are a little lazier, you can make pizza which arguably could require less effort than making and decorating cake.  Also, you could make a creeper face on it!

Who cuts a square pizza into triangles!?!

Anyway, my girlfriend is coming by for a couple days today and I'm excited about it.

Have a great day!

Elders React To Nyan Cat

It has been a pretty nice weekend.  I got to kick back and relax despite the 90+F temperature.  I don't know what I want to do next now.  This week my girlfriend is coming down to see me and I'm really excited about that.  Beyond that though, I still have to figure out what I want to do to fill up my summer as jobs seem to be slim locally.

For now though, I found a video of how elders react to Nyan Cat and it is really interesting to see how they react.  It seems that they have a good collection of stereotypical elders.  The "get off my lawn", the "hippie", the "anti-hippie", the "tech-savy", the "married couple", and the "loves everyone" elders.

Like Don said, "It may be junk to you, but it ain't junk to everybody!"

Have a great day!

A Well Deserved Vacation

To start, as Monday is Memorial Day/Decoration Day I will not be making a blog post.  In all honestly, I feel like I need to take a break from this, but I really don't want to.  I was watching on of my subscriptions on YouTube today (TheSyndicateProject) and he was talking about as a YouTube partner, you never really have a day off.  I somewhat feel in the same boat.  I make posts that take all of 30 minutes to an hour to create (usually) five days a week and on weekends, I try to find new content so I can make a theme for a day during the week so I really have time available to do whatever, but coming up with content is always on my mind.  Even when I'm on the can.

I love making blog posts because its almost like a virtual diary that I let everyone read.  While I may not be the traditional blogger, I do thoroughly enjoy what I do.  I made this as an outlet to put the pictures I thought were funny up and so I would stop posting them on Facebook.  I assumed that no one was looking at them on Facebook, but I could at least compile them in a central location like this.

At first, I had a huge compilation of pictures and videos that I knew that I had to post them, and now I am getting to the point where my resources are running dry.  My videos are showing up as they are posted now and I am down to 20 or bookmarked pictures (compared to 104 at its max).

This may sound like an "I'm done blogging" post, but it is far from that.  While some days may still have really short posts, I do not plan on stopping anytime soon.  Ideally, I'd love for this turn into a staple of people's day like 9GAG, The Chive, College Humor, or Memebase, but you have to start somewhere.

Embarrassingly enough, I completely forgot to do something special for the anniversary of this blog, so in a way this is it.  Last Friday should have been the post, but it really doesn't matter.

Altogether, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining that P(x) Randomness hasn't gone viral yet, or that I haven't had a vacation from posting, because frankly I don't care for complaining over menial things.

Rather, I am proud of how far this blog has gotten in a year.  I never imagined that I would have almost 23,000 views worldwide (The counter on the bottom includes bot hits so it is not accurate.  This number comes from Google Adsense) or that I would have a following of 21 people on Facebook.  For both of these facts I am very grateful.  Also, more often than not, I love when people comment on posts, especially if I don't know the people.  It is very encouraging that I have made an outreach to someone I don't know.

I will resume posting on Tuesday.  Thank you all for making P(x) Randomness the success that it is now.  I still intend to make an apparel shop soon (the products are created I just have to give the store the right information).

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

241543903

I realize that I haven't been posting my usual stuff so I'm going to do much better for the next couple days.  So a while back I found that when you image search "241543903" you find that the results are pretty interesting.  You find that there are hundreds of pictures of people sticking their heads into freezers.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've seen the end of the internet and it can get really weird.  This doesn't even come close.

From the look of the weather this weekend, this may just be a good time to "chill" in the freezer for a little while.  Just realize that Han Solo was doing it wrong.

Have a great day!

Let's Try Something Else

I tried that workout routine again today (forgot to do it yesterday) and I realized that what he is doing is not how I want to work out.  Sure I'd love for it to work simply by doing what it says, but I'm not looking for a beach body.  I'm looking to lose some weight.  One of my friends said that better portioning of food is a better solution to try and lose weight so I have been working on it.  I really think that all the greasy food at school screwed me over weight-wise because I've already lost some weight eating food at home.

My goal is to try and eat healthier portions of food.  Not to the point of leaving a table hungry because that is unhealthy, but not leaving bloated and uncomfortably full.  I'm going to try and eat breakfast everyday to get my metabolism going and hopefully that will help.

I am content eating a bowl of cereal for breakfast, but I may have a cup of orange juice too.  Why orange juice?  This flow chart explains why:

As a despiser of Nickelback, I get to have orange juice.  DISCLAIMER: P(x) Randomness does not condone or suggest that people that like Nickelback consume battery acid as doing so could lead to serious injury or death.  Please do not ingest or consider ingesting battery acid.

The next step, which will be a challenge, is to stop drinking pop/soda.  I would try to switch to diet, but the aspartame gives me headaches.  Any suggestions into healthier substitutes (other than water) would be appreciated!

Have a great day!

More Awesomeness!

So last week I posted a video of Zombie-hunting Raptors in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's Forest Temple.  Yesterday the next part came out and I have to say that I am pretty impressed with how this is designed.

I really want to see how this is going to end, but it looks like it is only being released one per week and they aren't that far into the dungeon yet.

Today I get to go to my first Brewers game as a fan.  Its really not that different than normal except I care a little bit more now.  I'll be tailgating before and we'll see how everything else goes.

Have a great day!

It Has Begun

So today I started the workout plan, and it kicked my butt.  I was able to do most of the exercises, but I learned that I need to eat and drink water before the exercises.  I rolled out of bed and started doing them and now I'm a little under the weather.  To combat that, I'm eating some Trix, which are surprisingly delicious still.

On that thought though, why can't the rabbit have Trix?  My mom told me that they had a vote to see if the kids should give him Trix, but the vote came back no!  How long can you make a guy beg for cereal? It is only time until something like this happens..

Try and not be creeped out after that..

Have a great day!

You've Got To Be Kidding

I feel like I write this every week, but how the heck am i going to pull this story off.  It seems that this year is just flying by.  In what feels like no time, we have gotten to May.  The odd thing I thought about yesterday is that I only have about 100 more days of summer vacation.  I honestly have no clue what made me think about this, but I really want to do something fun this summer as it will be my last open summer.  Usually my summers are full of playing video games, but I want to try and do more than that.  While it would be nice to sit around and play Mario Party all day, it just gets too violent..

I half want to go to the Renaissance Faire and see what the hubbub is all about, but I am not sold that I want to do that yet.  I think it could be fun, but I really want to avoid spending a lot of money this summer.  I dunno, for now Squire Squirrel will suffice.

Until I figure out what to do, the things I have to look forward to is Big Bang Theory and Family Guy on TV, though I've seen almost all episodes of both shows.  I like watching Family Guy because you never know what will happen next.   Will Meg elope and leave the show? Will Peter become the mayor of Quahog?  Will Consuella appear at Jesus' tomb?

I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend, and remember, it doesn't matter if you have one or not, all cats hate you!

Undead vs Infected

I do not know how I got to it, but I went from listening to Jazz on youtube to listening to EAS warnings.  I found two Emergency Alert System (EAS) warnings about zombies, but they are both very different.  This first one considers zombies to be a slew of infected people that can make people more violent and very ill.

This second one however, sees zombies as undead creatures that will attack if provoked.

Personally, I see zombies as the undead more than an infection, but I know the movies and media portray zombies quite differently.  Games like Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead have zombies as more infected people, while Borderlands: Undead Nightmare deals with zombies as resurrected dead.

What do you think?

Have a great day!

What Is This?

Now this isn't a Nightmare Before Christmas post, though I still can or should happen.  Nevertheless I watched a video that combined three of the coolest things in the world.  It is not everyday that you can watch zombies getting killed by Velociraptors in Kokiri Forest.  Yeah, zombies (which are awesome on their own) getting killed by Veliciraptors (with guns and swords) in Kokiri Forest (the start of the greatest Legend of Zelda game ever created).  The awesomeness is unfathomable..

This is only part 1, but I can only imagine how awesome it will be when they progress into the Forest Temple.

Have a great day!

I Love Finding Hidden Gems

The other day on YouTube I found a group called cdza that does a couple creative vocal projects.  I watched their two videos and saw that they posted recently and so I decided to subscribe.  I made a great choice.  Their videos are clever and stretch the length of time.

Today they came out with Zuckerberg: The Musical; a story about Facebook and how it got to where it is without the drama from The Social Network movie.

There is a rumor that there is going to be a Social Network 2 movie, but I think that would be an awful waste of time.  Then I saw a trailer for it.  I think its a parody but I'm not positive about it.  It is a more interesting concept than I earlier thought though.

Even if this is a parody, I do wonder what people would do if they didn't have Facebook.  What would they waste time on?  How would we interact with people?  How many birthdays would be overlooked?

Only time can tell..

Have a great day!

Last Week Before Crunch Time

I had no idea that I would create as punny of a title.  In fact, I had no intention of it being as punny as it is.  I am tired of being really overweight.  To be at the recommended weight that this chart says (which still seems unrealistic)

I would need to lose over 100 lbs.  It seems like a task that is impossible to achieve, but I will try to make strides to get closer.  I'm tired of being a 6'4" 300+ pound guy that gets winded climbing 3 flights of stairs.

I've been trying to eat healthier, but that hasn't been working well, so I am going to try an get myself working out.  I can't really afford a gym membership, so I'm going to try a workout circuit from FitnessBody4Life.org.  They have a workout plan (linked) for a 60-Day workout with video demonstrations of how to do each workout.  If I can post a blog post every weekday, I certainly can take 30 minutes out of my morning to do some crunches, pushups, lunges, etc.

Ideally I want to get my weight at least down to 320 pounds and be able to fit in my 2XL shirts again.  I am ok with being a big guy, but I don't want to have to give all my clothes to Goodwill and start from scratch because I am not living a healthy lifestyle.

This week I am relaxing and enjoying my summer vacation, but next week, I will begin.

Have a great day!

Gaudete est Veneris

It is a beautiful day out and there is not a cloud in the sky here.  I'm home and I won't have to deal with classes until September.  I can kick back, relax and enjoy my last summer without a real job.

Right now I just want to lay down and not get back up.  I am sore from picking weeds and doing a ton more activity than I usually do.  I'm not worried about laying down and not being to get up, but this T-Rex does.

The weird part about summer is that you are so glad that you don't have work to do, but at the same time you are bored because you don't have work to do.  As of now, I've been pretty busy so I haven't hit that point yet.  However, I can imagine that may happen by next month.  Maybe I'll end up breaking out the N64 an playing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, its always amusing.

"It was his hat Mr. Krabs! He was #1!"  Before I get much farther, I want to do a quick PSA in regards to torture.  It is a shame that it happens.

So dark.. So Cold.. So Difficult..

The Water Temple is still by far the most difficult level in any game I have played.  It is minorly confusing and frequently anger-inducing.

As a reminder, Mother's Day is this Sunday.  If you can't be home to see your mom, give her a call or send  her a card (it may still get to her before Sunday).  If you are at home you can get your mom a nice present and a card and spend the day with her.  Just a warning though, if you choose to get your mother a bottle of wine, be sure that proper instruction is given.

Have a great day!

Celebrity Jeopardy

It has been a long day, but I finally have a moment to sit down and make a post.  I am surprised to find that I have not posted a Saturday Night Live Celebrity Jeopardy compilation yet.  They are by far my favorite set of skits that I have ever seen on SNL.

I love the combination of Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek and Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery.  Their interactions make the videos priceless.  If you don't believe me, watch for yourself.

There used to be a great compilation of SNL Sean Connery's greatest lines on YouTube, but it got taken off for copyright violations.  Luckily though, I found an ok quality video from eBaums World.

I hope you enjoyed the videos, I leave you with the real Sean Connery with the SNL flair.

Have a great day!

Hit It Alice Cooper!

Ok, so school isn't quite out forever yet, but I am done with my junior year of college meaning I only have one more year of college before I enter the working world.  As far as I know I won't be going to grad school right away, but if I did I would go for either Graphic Communication or a Communication Masters degree.  This way I could potentially pursue a Website Producer job.

A website producer regulates the web design itself as well as the content to be put on the site.  It is a 5-7 year out goal, but I can always start planning now.

Until I figure that out though, I will be enjoying a nice relaxing summer working on my portfolio.  Of course this means I can still post every weekday!

Today has been such a nice day.  I went to a local cafe (The Steaming Cup) and had a Vanilla Chai Latte and a Pulled Pork Sandwich.  After that my buddy and I played Candy Land (I won 2 games) and Chutes and Ladders (He won 2 games).  It is great how games we play as a kid still are great to play today.

After that I finished packing up my stuff and got ready to come home.  Now I'm finally home, making my first blog post of the summer vacation period at home.  I'm excited to be in my last semester of college, but I really need a good break before I go back again.

Have a great day!

The Final Countdown

Today I finished my second to last final (Ethics) with my only one left tomorrow morning at 8am.  I am not too terribly worried about that final, but I cannot wait to get home.  With that though I am done with Ethics and all my core classes.  While I enjoyed Ethics, the tests and assignments were ridiculous.  The one nice thing about the class is looking back and seeing the funny quotes that my professor had said.

So today I will take the best ones and present them here.  Warning: Strong Language used!

"Never Trust a dean, or anyone named Dean"

"How many of you have done something good and ended up fucked, not in a good way.."

"A little Barry White and a few drinks with Michelle Obama and you're leader of the free world"

"KFC is a big bucket of Heroine"

"If you eat nothing but cookies, you'll run around the house for 45 minutes, break all your toys and cry"
--A response to his kids about why they can't have cookies for dinner

"If one of my children want to be an accountant, I will have them kidnapped and deprogrammed" *class laughs* "Why do people think I'm kidding"

"You don't just punch somebody in the back of the head and surf their body down the stairs"

"You haven't lived until you realize that your child has learned the word 'douchebag' by watching you drive"

"God made us and made bacon for us to enjoy each other"

Girl: "Why would you even want a cannon?"
Prof: "You're obviously not a guy!"

(Discussing a story about a teen having a baby in a public restroom prematurely so she tried flushing it because she didn't know she was pregnant)
"Did she know she was pregnant or did she think she was having a front poop?"

---------------------------------------------

Stuff like this is what kept me going to that class, and now I am glad its done.

Have a great day!

We Are Pleased To Inform You That You Have Been Accepted To Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

In 48 hours I will probably be done with my last final and will be packing up getting ready to go home for the summer.  From the looks of things I won't have an internship like I had hoped, but I will most likely have a solid amount of free-lance design and web layout work to do.  This means that I will be able to continue making blog posts over this summer as frequently as I do now.

Today starts your journey into Hogwarts where you will be sorted into different houses with different value systems.  For those of you that like pictures to explain what the houses are all about try the Lion King explanation.

From this picture, no one would want to join Ravenclaw (I think).  Once you get to the great hall you will notice a table full of people with red hair, they will all be in Gryffindor.

Huh, that is more disney refernences than I expected, maybe I should throw one more in for good measure? How about a Hogwarts Castle/Disney mash-up.

Good.. Good..  Now in case you need to know more about Hogwarts, the professors, the people, etc. read this list of facts.

Have a great day!

May The 4th Be With You

..And also with you.  Let us pray.

Sorry..

Anytime I hear that line it seems almost feels like instinct to answer as if it were a responsive.  Nevertheless, today is unoffiically Star Wars day and because of that that will be today's theme.  To start, I found some pretty cool shirts that show simplified pictures of characters and lines they have said.

There are a few more, but those may come on another day.  It is now May which means we are only about a month and a half away from summer.  With summer comes watermelon!  I really like watermelon a lot.  What makes watermelon better?  Making it into a Death Star!

Why a bottle opener and red solo cups are needed is beyond me, but it doesn't matter.  Watermelon would be a fantastic breakfast, even though it doesn't have much substance behind it.  Maybe, if you feel so inclined to, you can pair your Death Star watermelon up with some character pancakes?

Pancakes are surprisingly filling so why not satisfy your medichlorians with a Yoda, Darth Vader, and/or Stormtrooper pancake.  As you finish up your breakfast, you realize it is garbage day, so you collect your scraps from breakfast and the rest of the garbage and bring it out to the curb, where this jewel sits.

Please make sure no little people are inside this droid though.. This R2D2 should only hold trash, and is not intended to be operated by anyone internally.

May the force be with you, and have a great weekend!

Cosby Economics

This is not your regular Reaganomics, this is Cobsbynomics.  Up to the last cut in this video, I agree with the breakdown greatly.  You really cannot go into the world easily without a college degree, its not impossible, but it certainly isn't easy.  While you can easily double most of those numbers now, except pay per week, the premise still remains.

While I am rather impressed that this was the pilot episode that such a powerful statement came from, I have a lot of concern with the last part.  A parent will not love their kid any less for not getting good grades.  While I would not be proud of their lack of attempt to do well, I would not love them any less.  I wish that Mr. Huxtable would have said something on that line in his response, but its a pilot, not flawless.

Have a great day!

Danger is a Stupid Middle Name

There are so many movie stars that use the cliche "Danger is my middle name" line.  Frankly, what they do after they say that line isn't so much dangerous as it is risky.  I know that it is the same definition and that it seems like I'm grasping at straws, but there are definitely more things that are more dangerous that risky.  Each of which are worse with the Element of Surprise.

The first dangerous thing is obviously Chuck Norris.  He is capable of roundhouse kicking physics to disprove gravity.  He has recently developed technology that allows him to digitize himself and get into video games.  You should see what he did to the Mushroom Kingdom...

The only person that ever beat Chuck Norris, in a fluke, was Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon.  Personally, I think it's because Chuck Norris did not have his beard yet, but I assume his follicles were too afraid to produce hair yet.  Nevertheless, I imagine that Bruce Lee is part Ninja, which is number two on the most dangerous things list.  If you can't see them you can't know when they're around.  The element of surprise is key here or a ninja is useless.

Now I think the problem is looking for a synonym for Ninjas does nothing useful, but hey its still funny.. sort of.

The last dangerous thing on this list is an uncommon one.  Pet Rocks.  They are the masters of the element of surprise because you never know if they will do something or not.  Recently, pet rocks have been taking accomplices and have been going on rampages.  If you see anyone with a pet rock, please contact the local authorities so you don't end up dead like this guy.

Only you can stop pet rock homicide..

Have a great day!

The Finals Frontier

Thursday is the start of finals for school and after that I will be headed home for the summer.  Before then though stands three finals, two of which will require some substantial studying. Nevertheless, I don't think it is possible for me to fail my classes so that is very promising.

So I'm not a Senior yet, still doesn't mean that this isn't a useful utility to have available.  If you can find out what you get in the class with a 0 on the final it can be reassuring or scare the piss out of you.  Nevertheless, it definitely feels that the classes leading up to finals and finals week itself have this feeling:

By this point in the semester you have earned the grade you have and that doesn't matter.  What matters is what you need to get to get your ideal grade and how much time that correlates in hours of studying.

My job it seems is to study after making these posts and act as a distraction from your finals studying.  In one of my classes, this will benefit me as the entire class is a curved grading scale.  The more time you spend watching this hour long scenes from a hat segment from Whose Line Is It Anyway, the more advantage of studying I have.

Have a great day!
