Today is Friday but you won't be hearing any crappy song about it.  Instead you'll get to read a few amusing comics from Harry Potter.  Since it is Friday, I will make the reading easy and limit it to just reading comics.  Speaking of that crappy song...

I will most likely not be posting anything over the holiday weekend, so I will post more for everyone on Tuesday (maybe Monday).

Furious Aviaries!

I lost a day in the week somehow and that makes me... ANGRY!!!  When in reality this doesn't upset me it helped in combining todays theme of Angry Birds.  Most people have played angry birds before and find it to be addicting, though its more a matter or finishing a level.  There are an abundance of videos about angry birds but I found a few that I really enjoyed.

First is a cover of the introduction by Pomlamoose, who have been recently seen in a Hyundai Sonata commercial.  This is a great cover!

Next is a fully functioning Angry Birds cake!  This is a really neat looking cake and anyone would be happy to have it as their cake.

Finally is a large form of angry birds that many people have seen before.  This was a sketch done on Conan O'Brien.  Albeit this isn't the purest form of angry birds but this is very funny.

With so much anger in the world its hard to condone the thought of being a part of a war between birds and pigs.  I am proud to announce that there has been a report of a peace treaty between the birds and the pigs, let's go to the press conference immediately:

The thing you've heard about, think is evil, but have never looked into it yourself..

If you have no clue about what the heading is about you either play DnD or you just lack the ability to have opinions.  DnD, D&D, or Dungeons and Dragons is a Role-Playing Game (RPG) that is no different than acting out Shakespeare's tragedies.  The reason see it as evil is because there are devils and demons involved, when in fact nor often than not they are killed.  The next reason for the thought of the game being evil is the thought that everything must be solved by killing.  The game is not all about killing, in fact much of the time players must be diplomatic or risk causing an unwinable battle.  It is true that there is a lot of fighting and killing involved, however, DnD is set in the medieval time period where war, killing, and conquest were rampant.

So in the spirit that people can control what they do in DnD is it too far to say that DnD is not the cause of the evil, but tghe evil that people see in the game comes from those whom cannot control themselves, or those whom are unstable to begin with.  The game does not work if the players to not role play, just as a musical piece does not work if all the instruments are not being played.

If you excuse the mini-rant I now present the bits of randomness that everyone tends to enjoy!

First is a recent video that parodies "Like a G6" by Far East Movement ft. Cataracs and Dev and put a DnD spin on it.  This song not only is epic for players, but it also destroys people's stereotypes that only lonely guys play dungeons and dragons.  I personally have played dnd with 2 girls and they both play as well, if not better than the rest of the group.  Without further ado, "Roll a d6".

The picture below will only be understood by those dnd players that have been playing for a decent amount of time.  I found this picture at random and I knew that this was random enough to be highlighted.

Finally there really isn't too much randomness for DnD without developing a storyline and asking you to roll a fortitude save on a d20, but if you can't get enough DnD and you have a lot of time on your hands you can read a comic called Order of the Stick or watch a series of videos called Unforgotten Realms.  Live on DnD players and live by the Black Knight's mantra:

Kenetic Typography

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I was at my brother's graduation the other day and I saw that there were a bunch of Graphic Design majors.  This made me start thinking about the kenetic typography that I was shown in my Graphic Communication class.

The first one is "Still Alive" from Portal.  It was done quite well in my opinion.

The next one is the original video that first enlightened me to look at kenetic typography.  See how many companies you recognize in the font.

Finally, I found this kenetic typography of the Beatles song "Help".  It features a little alien or robot creature adventuring through the song lyrics.

There are tons of kinetic typographies on youtube, though some are better than others.

What now world! The US is prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse!

May 16th, 2011 the CDC (Center for Diseases Control and Prevention) released a plan in case there was a zombie apocalypse.  This is a great stride for America, although this list does not quite use the references from the  Zombie Survival Guide.  To read their full response follow the link to the CDC Website.

Pirates of the Carribean comes out today and what better way to not see it than watch the new Lonely Island hit Jack Sparrow!  Caution: Michael Bolton is a Cinephile.

Random Videos of the Day

So before today I never gave any observance to Nyan Cat, but for some reason I started watching the videos and they are rather amusing.  It could just be that my brain is melting from the lack of school, but hey its bound to happen sometime.

For those who have never seen Nyan Cat here is a heaping helping of it in it craziest form.

This cat has become viral enough to earn its spot in a Portal 2 scene that was created as a Surprise from GlaDOS.

Probability of Randomness

Welcome to the probability of randomness.  Essentially this site will be a bunch of random pictures and videos that I come across from day to day.  Some will be funny, others will be interesting, and every so often there will be themed days.

There will be a few updates to start, but the goal is to have videos and pictures daily.
